- Incorporating Arctic games.
- Engagement with the land, nature, and the outdoors.
- Invite an Elder into the classroom to lead a nature walk and give thanks to the gifts of mother nature.
- When talking about or showing videos of athletes, acknowledge and discuss the achievements of FNMI athletes.
- Giving acknowledgement and discussing where some of the FNMI traditional games or sports, such as lacrosse, came from.
- Incorporating the Medicine Wheel Philosophy (physical, emotional, mental, and and spiritual) influences sports or FNMI games have on students.
- Have small groups create cooperative games, along with a verbal rationale of how this game is “cooperative”.
- Explain about the role of games in Aboriginal cultures.
